I have read and enjoyed all of his books up until "Swimsuit". I actually wish I had never read it because of the scene involving a child. I can handle pretty much anything that adults can do to each other when it comes to fiction but not this. I don't understand why he had to do that? I called up several of my friends and told them that it was not a book they would be happy about reading. All I said was that there was a scene involving a child that I desperately wished I didn't have in my head. The only reason I kept reading it was that it was not something I ever expected to come from Mr. Patterson.

I love James Patterson's books, especially the Alex Cross series. I just finished reading Swimsuit. I was drawn into it very quickly and it was spell binding and frightening....but I must say I thought the ending came abrubtly. I actually reread the final 3 chapters thinking I missed something...I'd like to hear other readers' thoughts on this.

I love James Patterson books, everyone I've read so far except Swimsuit. I did not like the story at all. Sorry James. Love your work but not this one.

Just finished "Swimsuit". I have never read anything so graphic and pornographic and I'm not a prude. This was way over the line. While reading it, I felt like one of the "peepers". Next time before spending money on his book, I will research it. Have lost that feeling that if it has Patterson on it it's good.
I agree with Bill Walters comments 100%. I started reading Swimsuit - put it down as I felt it was not "Patterson" reading - finished it tho, but did not enjoy it. Too violent, graphic, and agree that I hope this is not a trend in writing in the future. Mr. Patterson does/did much better by himself. Hope next book out will be more enjoyable.
