I got started reading James Patterson's novels after finishing the "Twilight" series...this is kind of sad lol, but my (then 13 now 14) yr old step daughter introduced me to the Twilight story before it was made into a movie, I was hooked on it and liked the idea of a "series" of books...I went to the library in search of a new series and found the Maximum Ride: Angel Experiment"....I too am anal and read them all in order, then started on the Alex Cross novels, and am sooooooo hooked! LOL! I am up to Double Cross now, and am half way thru it after less than 2 days! Can't wait for the 2 new books to be released!
I just discovered James's books about 2 months ago. Since then I have gotten 36 books. I have only had time to read around 25 but I enjoy them immensely.

I picked up Mary Mary at a garage sale for fifty cents 2yrs ago. That was the 1st time I read a Patterson novel. Became hooked on Alex Cross and JP. I set out to read the entire series from the start. With a few other Jp books in between. Right now I'm reading the WMC series have 2 left. I just picked up Run for your life.
I started reading James Patterson books about nine years ago when my wife and I volunteered at the local library. She said he would be good for me to read because of the short chapters. One on the aides at the library did a report on Roses are Red and I thought it was interesting. I got the book and read it in a couple of days. Ever since then have read all his books from the beginning: Thomas Berryman through the 8th Confession.
I have also collected all of hisbooks. First editions on all, starting with Along Came A Spider through Cross Country except for Thriller, Max Ride - Saving The World & The Final Warning. I still am looking to get the last three ASAP. I am still trying to find first editions on the first eight.
I am first on the list at the library for his next six books adn will be seven when I register for Worst Case next week.
The year after I started reading Patterson I took three of his books to the shore and read the all inless than five days.
