I am unable to download this book from the Sony store. I am not going to read any more books that are not in this format. And I have noticed that they have inflated the cost of the books lately. I will not buy any books since they have no publishing costs and any distribution costs. I will not buy then until they get the price down that is reasonable.

I'M WITH YOU ON THIS, THE WAY I LOOK AT IT THERE ARE OTHER WRITERS OUT THERE THAT HAVE JUST AS GOOD BOOKS TO READ, SO WHY WAIT ON PATTERSON'S BOOK TO COME OUT IN MAY. HE AS LOST ME AS A READER. HOPE HE MAKES A LOT OF MONEY ON HOLDING OUT.

Yeah, I am thinking about boycotting books from the McMillan publishers for that reason. I noticed that the Worst Case was only going to be available AFTER Lindsay Boxer's newest book will be available on 4-26. This is all nuts. I think that the McMillian group IS VERY GREEDY. All they are trying to do is punish the e-reader market. This is their way of getting the prices that they want. I just may quit reading James Patterson books in their entirety. This is the only thing that these guys will understand. The pocketbook.

Agreed Tim. I've been looking around and have found other authors that I can download rather than James Patterson. However, from what I am reading, you seem to put most of the blame on James. The blame should be on the McMillian publishers. It is on them 100%. I am VERY, VERY, VERY CLOSE TO WRITING JAMES PATTERSON BOOKS off. Maybe this is the only way we can get anything done and that is thru the pocketbook. GREED, GREED, GREED, GREED.

Yes, it will come out at a later date. I saw on the kindle bookstore that the ebook version would be out on May 2, 2010. I saw that the PUBLSHER was having a real beef with how much they were charging for the book. However, it seems that KINDLE will not sell their books for more than 9.99. They have bowed to the pressure. However, I do not know what Sonys stance will be. I will not buy the book for more than 9.99. If they fool with me I willl buy a kindle. They said they will offer the book for 8.56. Which is still lower than the 9.99.

I hate it that you are in need of some books. However, I think that this is the way that all big book publishers will try to force people to buy hardbacks. What they are going to do is make sure that the e-book versions are out much later. It is all about money and greed. It will depend on the price of the e-book will be before I will buy. Right now my problem is that I have run out of room to store in my bookshelves. Anyway, I think in my opinion, is that the authors need to put pressure on the book publishers to make sure they try to put the ebook version on line whenever the others do.

Here's what I think will happen. I will laugh, cry, be unable to put the book down, have to tell others to buy it, and in gerenal be glad that I found James Patterson's books to read.
