Finished 1st to Die. It is by far a great WMC Series starter!!! Now turnin page 10 on 2nd Chance!!!

I have to disagree with you. It goes like this:

1st to die - best in the series
2nd chance-good
3rd degree-good
4th of july-ok, this is where it got bad
5th horseman-terrible
6th target-ok/bad some parts were awful
7th heaven-ok
8th confession-ok/bad (i'm still not done, have 100 pages left)

i wish they would get together again and solve mysteries like in the first 3.

I am a fan. I just feel a little dissapointed that they don't get together to solve mysteries aymore. Wasn't that the whole premise of the series?

I would have to say that I wish there were more than just the 8 wmc books.. I started reading them about a month ago... I'm now on number 7! i hate that they are off and about sometimes but for the most part I like all of them. And I"m ready to read number 8...

There's a 9th one coming out in April. It's called The 9th Judgement. So excited!!!

I agree the 8th Confession wasn't as good as most of the others in the series. The crazy girl and the snake killings was a little far out for most and the homeless, or not so homeless guy who turned out to be a pimp that was killed by one of the girls father and uncle--well that was the good part, but
Yeah. it was lacking something. I haven't put my finger on it yet.
What I can say about the book is it address some very common issues in today's society
i.e the abandonment of children born outside of marriages, meth addiction the addicts and their families, Communities fedup with drug dealers and pimps.

You will absolutely love these books. All of them are so well written. Down to the music he refers to that Alex and family are listing to. He is very up to date. Alex is my favorite character of all the novels.
