The James Patterson Community

Okay, slightly scared here. I've just recently finished reading The Lake House (James Pattersons previous books, which inspired Max Ride) and the person who resembles Fang (Ozymandius) dies at the end.
I just read the summary for the next Maximum Ride book, and am VERY scared that Fang will die. Does anyone else think this or have any other theries about it, as I am COMPLETELY terrified! If Fang dies I may die as well!!!!!

Reread the wikipedia page for FANG: A Maximum Ride Novel, and found the new synopsis:

FANG WILL BE THE FIRST TO DIE.

For years, Max. Has been desperately on the run from evil forces trying to prevent her from her destiny to save the world--but nothing has ever rocked her world like this horrifying prophetic message. Fang is Max's best friend, her soul mate, her partner in leading her flock of winged children. A life without Fang is a life unimaginable.

Max's desperate desire to protect Fang brings the two closer than ever. But their world is turned upside-down yet again when another winged boy, the beautiful Dylan, is introduced to the flock. Raised in a lab, like the flock, he exists for only one reason: He was created to be Max's perfect other half.

Now a battle of science against soul and perfection versus passion unfolds, twists, and turns...and meanwhile, the apocalypse is coming.

AND THE ENDING WILL SHOCK YOU.

So, this is definitely providing quite a bit of new information for us. Maybe Dylan tries to kill Fang? Could Fang get jealous and leave? Just 2 more months guys!!!!!!!!

EDIT - 28th Feb '10

Okay guys. I've just found out that the FANG book has become available early in some places, but is still not out in many. So please, leave you're comments here, but no spoliers. I don't want this book to be completely ruined for anyone, so until the book is out everywhere, keep spoilers to yourself please =)

I think it might be good, because then he's following his original plot - and even though I didn't want Oz (The old fang) to die, it was great for the story. But it DOESN'T make it okay to kill him in this one XD

OK! That would be really awesome! It has my mind thinking really fast! Even if it seems inappropriate, im sure James Patterson will do it in a way better than how it was in Breaking Dawn (no offense). I just really want things to move on between Max and Fang (which can't happen if he dies!). But not in a bad, just a normal one. They deserve to go on dates and take time away from the flock. It's just that it would be completely amazing and unexpected if Max got pregnant! I love the image of Max and Fang together! They are so cute! And btw, Dylan cannot get in the way of this! I just never thought of it, but it would make me cry (in a good way) if how the book ended was that Max told Fang that she was pregnant, then it ended, just like that! Then there could be another book, but then u would be taking away from the main point of the series, so im fine with just Max saying she's pregnat. I really hope!

I have not read to book so i cant say im positive.

the prophacy is that Fang will die first - but that doesn't mean he'll die in this book. maybe they could all be 90 and Fang will die first of old age. i mean, you could say FANG WILL DIE and that doesn't mean he'll die tomorrow. that could just mean someday he'll die, like we all will.

Uh-oh, I smelt some fight.
Anyway, I too don't agree if Fang died. But, I really curios about this, do you really meaning that? About "if he dies, max dies, and if max dies, the series dies, and if the series dies, then i die"? I understand and agree the "if he dies, max dies, and if max dies, the series dies" part. But what about the "if the series dies, then i die"? Are you really going to die for a book?
