The James Patterson Community

Okay, slightly scared here. I've just recently finished reading The Lake House (James Pattersons previous books, which inspired Max Ride) and the person who resembles Fang (Ozymandius) dies at the end.
I just read the summary for the next Maximum Ride book, and am VERY scared that Fang will die. Does anyone else think this or have any other theries about it, as I am COMPLETELY terrified! If Fang dies I may die as well!!!!!

Reread the wikipedia page for FANG: A Maximum Ride Novel, and found the new synopsis:

FANG WILL BE THE FIRST TO DIE.

For years, Max. Has been desperately on the run from evil forces trying to prevent her from her destiny to save the world--but nothing has ever rocked her world like this horrifying prophetic message. Fang is Max's best friend, her soul mate, her partner in leading her flock of winged children. A life without Fang is a life unimaginable.

Max's desperate desire to protect Fang brings the two closer than ever. But their world is turned upside-down yet again when another winged boy, the beautiful Dylan, is introduced to the flock. Raised in a lab, like the flock, he exists for only one reason: He was created to be Max's perfect other half.

Now a battle of science against soul and perfection versus passion unfolds, twists, and turns...and meanwhile, the apocalypse is coming.

AND THE ENDING WILL SHOCK YOU.

So, this is definitely providing quite a bit of new information for us. Maybe Dylan tries to kill Fang? Could Fang get jealous and leave? Just 2 more months guys!!!!!!!!

EDIT - 28th Feb '10

Okay guys. I've just found out that the FANG book has become available early in some places, but is still not out in many. So please, leave you're comments here, but no spoliers. I don't want this book to be completely ruined for anyone, so until the book is out everywhere, keep spoilers to yourself please =)

WHAT, i just finished The Final Warning, and my book store didn't have Max yet, but THEY CAN'T KILL FANG, that would be absolutely horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE. i don't know if i would continue reading, well i might eventually but if he dies, i would put the book down and say oh no thats enough, but..........NO THEY CAN'T KILL HIM. i read the summary too and thats what i thought and it terrified me to no end.

I read the description for the next Maximum Ride book and freaked out as well.
I don't think the other book really has anything to do with the max books, but it is still a scary thought of J.P. killing Fang.
March can't come fast enough!

I hope he dies, but I know he won't.

Everybody have a debate about that, you know. Nobody know what will happen to Fang. And there's so many saying "Fang can't die! If he's die, I will cry a lot." So, let's hoping that JP don't really kill Fang.

Yeah, I have a feeling the majority of his audience would probably put the book down if Fang died, making him lose profits. But I've been having a thought recently. What if Angel's preminition was still right, but it just meant when they were like 70, or 80, and Fang died first? God I hope so =P

Yeah, one of my friend say that. He's say "Angel's permonition not really accurate. Okay, she's saying that Fang will die, but it can be when Fang's 60 years old, or older."
I hope that too. :)

Yeah, let's hope JP is reading this right now, and is rethinking the whole 'killing Fang' thing. Like I said, I'm terrified of this book ending up how The Lake House ends, because I honestly wept when I read that! But if he does follow The Lake House's plot, then Max has to get pregnant xD

XD Yeah. I'm waiting for that too. I hardly can't waiting to see their son ^^

ok call me a stick in the mud but i kinda hope that he saves that for a later date it would kinda ruin the whole battle thing goning on right now. and would be a little inappropret. No i can't spell i got like a 8th grade spelling level and i'm a junior.

I think it might be good, because then he's following his original plot - and even though I didn't want Oz (The old fang) to die, it was great for the story. But it DOESN'T make it okay to kill him in this one XD
